#FarhTravels to London

Happy Tuesday!

As most of you know from following my Snapchat and Instagram, I was recently in London! This post is one of many (hopefully) soon to come. I am adding a new addition to the blog… TRAVEL! I love love love traveling and I thought why not share this aspect of my life with all my readers?! I want to share places I fell in love with and the memories. I would love to hear any recommendations, stories or comments that you all have! This post is all about my quick trip to the UK! Have you guys ever been to London? How did you like it? This was my second time and it definitely won’t be my last.

I’d like to first mention the fantastic location of my hotel (London Marriott Hotel County Hall), the heart of London. It was steps away from The London Eye and The Big Ben. The view from our room was of the London Eye and waking up to that view every morning was breathtaking. The hotel was in such a centralized area that we were able to walk mostly everywhere. Thanks to the wonderful weather, we got over 20,000 steps in a day!

The first day we took a ride on the London Eye and it was so beautiful to see all of London from above! It is slow enough to get a look at every angle. We were also able to satisfy our craving for fish n’ chips (mmmmmm). I was nostalgic seeing all the popular red tour buses, telephone booths and cute London taxis! Since London is such a large tourist city, we woke up early to enjoy an amazing breakfast (5-6 croissants with Nutella 😉 ) and get a head start on visiting the landmarks to avoid the crowds. A few worth mentioning are The Big Ben, The Westminster Abbey, both historic and so beautiful to see. Every corner of London is incredibly charming! Next we headed out to the Buckingham Palace and all I have to say is… #majorhousegoals! The tall gates to the colorful tulip garden are beautiful and watching the guards practice their routine was pretty entertaining! We then made our way to cute little Notting Hill. To see more photos of Notting Hill, you can view a previous post on the blog. Along the way we came to the infamous Nando’s. It is well-known for its Peri Peri Chicken and I am a girl that loves my hot sauces! No really, I carry those little hot sauce bottles in my purse. Nando’s has every flavor sauce possible…. yummy! I’m drooling just thinking about it! They now have a location open in Chicago and throughout the US, so if you get a chance to, you should check it out!

That night we had a romantic dinner at the Aqua Shard; it had unparalleled  360-degree views of the entire city. Once the general manager found out we were from Chicago, we got a full tour of The Shard and its other venues. We were able to see the gorgeous night views from every restaurant! The Shard is known to be the tallest building in Europe and I definitely recommend going for dinner to see the view.

Our last day, we took the easily accessible underground to see the London Bridge and although there were tons of tourists around, it was such a sight to see. We passed the Tower of London along the way then walked across the bridge. We hopped back on the underground and went to see St. Paul’s Cathedral. The inside was breathtaking. Beautiful symmetry and detail in the pillars and dome within, it was a shame we couldn’t photograph the inside to share its beauty. Luckily, the outside was just as beautiful. Lastly we ended up shopping on the famous Oxford Street!

I had such a great experience and the people we encountered were so kind. Oh, and their accents… lets not forget those awesome accents! I like to think I do a pretty good one myself, lol. That’s my short trip in a nutshell! I miss London already and can’t wait to go back!

If you all have any stories or comments, please do share! I would love to hear them! Hope you all have a great rest of your week!

Cheers Mate!

Throughout the great design of things you’ll secure an A+ with regard to hard work. Where exactly you lost me personally ended up being on the facts. You know, they say, details make or break the argument.. And it could not be much more accurate in this article. Having said that, permit me reveal to you just what did work. Your writing is incredibly engaging and that is probably why I am making the effort in order to comment. I do not make it a regular habit of doing that. Secondly, while I can easily notice a jumps in reason you come up with, I am not necessarily sure of just how you seem to unite the ideas which make the final result. For right now I will, no doubt yield to your position but trust in the foreseeable future you link the facts better.
