Advanced Clinicals

Hello friends and happy Tuesday!

Let’s talk about SKINCARE today! Skincare is a topic I am very passionate about, and it wasn’t until my late 20’s when I really started caring about my skin. Regrettably, that is on the later end, and I wish I had started paying attention to it sooner. On that note, it’s never too early to start caring for your epidermis. Before you use makeup, you need to have a great foundation to apply makeup to, and that is where skincare plays a huge role. It takes a lot to have great skin, starting with drinking A LOT of water day and night. I feel like I can never have enough water in my diet, and I drink about 70oz of water a day. Another trick is to never go to sleep with your makeup on. Makeup can clog your pores, which may lead to breakouts. No matter how late I am out, I will try my absolute hardest to never go to bed with makeup on. Lastly, the secret to great skin is having an amazing skincare routine!

I am going to share my skincare routine with you all, which includes one of my absolute favorite lines right now, Advanced Clinicals. How many of you are obsessed with facial oils these days? I know I am! It has truly been a game changer for me. Below, I have broken down all the products I use and list out the benefits of each one.

I love starting my skincare routine with the Rosewater toner from Advanced Clinicals. After I cleanse my face (I like to use the Cetaphil face wash for sensitive skin), I will follow up with a toner. Your skin is ideal when it is has a pH balance roughly around5.5, otherwise your skin is at risk of aging prematurely. The reason why I love this toner is because it is infused with sebum-fighting Phytic Acid, Glycerin, Green Tea Extract, and herbal Botanimoist AMS, which boosts hydration in my skin and really creates a soft, clean barrier for my oils and moisturizer. I spray it onto a cotton pad and wipe off any excess dirt and oil that my face wash didn’t get. I also LOVE the smell of this toner, and it actual feels quite relaxing.

Next, I apply the Rosehip oil for face. This stuff smells GREAT! It keeps my skin super hydrated, especially with the insanely brutal winter we had here in Chicago. I have actually never experienced dry skin the way I had this winter and this stuff really helped my skin bounce back to normal. This oil has also helped a lot with evening out my skin tone, which is something a lot of Pakistani/ Indian women commonly experience. I will tend to get discoloration around my mouth, and this oil has really helped with that! The Rosehip oil contains pure vitamin E, which is known to slow down the aging process and help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The trick with oils is to pat it in your skin instead of rubbing it in and remember that a little goes a long way. Just a few drops are all you really need when it comes to oils. Once I apply 4-5 drops of this, I will use my jade roller to get the blood circulating in my skin and allow the product to really sink in for best results.

The next oil I am OBSESSED with is the Advanced Clinicals Turmeric Oil. Now if you are of Pakistani/ Indian descent, you know that turmeric (haldi) is used in absolutely everything because the benefits of turmeric are so significant. Growing up in a desi household, I became very familiar with the uses of turmeric and would even add it to homemade face masks, so when I saw this product, I knew I needed to try it. This turmeric oil is great for people with blemishes or acne-prone skin because it is known to have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It also helps reduce redness, which I tend to get around my nose, so I will apply three or four drops of this all over my face and then use a gua sha tool to massage it deeper into my skin.

Lastly, will use the Collagen Rescue Lotion on my face, neck, and hands. You should always apply moisturizer after using oil and not the other way around for best results. This lotion goes on easy and does not leave a residue behind. It is also very moisturizing, unlike other creams that are water-based and dry instantly. I love how soft and plump my skin feels directly after application. This is because it is formulated with green tea, aloe vera, chamomile, and pure collagen. I can already tell that the fine lines under my eyes are less visible than before. I always apply this down to my neck because people often forget to take care of that area, and I want to prevent myself from sagging skin. I can’t wait to see the long-term results of this lotion if I already love the results.

One final step that I usually do before bed but also love to do it after I shower while my pores are still open from the steam is to apply the Rose Hip body oil all over my body. I absolutely love the scent of roses, and it leaves my skin so supple and soft without the feeling of being greasy. I have had keratosis pilaris, also known as chicken skin, on my upper arms and thighs since I was a young girl, and I’ve noticed a change in the texture of my skin since using this oil. My bumps aren’t as raised and are nearly unnoticeable! This is a pretty big deal for me, since after all these years, I have never found a product to help with this until now.

The other nice thing about Advanced Clinicals is that they have SO many products all targeting specific skin issues. Other items that are at the top of my list to try next are the Retinol oil, the Tea Tree oil, the Vitamin C oil, the Argan Firming Body oil, the Hyaluronic serum instant hydrator, and these are just to name a few. They also carry a cellulite cream, which I wouldn’t mind trying especially with summer right around the corner. I’ve also got some great news: you can get 30% off your order by using promo code FARHEEN30 at checkout so you can give my holy grail skincare products a try for yourself!

Well there you have it guys, my current skin care routine! I would love your feedback on your favorite skincare products, or what you think of Advanced Clinicals’ skincare products if you have ever tried any of of them. Drop me a line and have a great rest of your day!

XOXO,

Farh
