Marriott Puerto Vallarta

Hello, friends! Relaxed, rested, and ready to share every fabulous detail about our trip to Puerto Vallarta this past month! Malick and I took our very first trip without Kayden and although we missed him very much, it was AMAZING! We will definitely be bringing him back here soon! This resort was not only accommodating to adults, but also very kid friendly! Sharing some really EXCITING news at the end of this post, so keep reading!

We received the warmest welcome from the team upon arrival at the Marriott Puerto Vallarta, from check-in to the fruit basket and fresh juices in our room, every detail was perfect! Our hotel room was the Deluxe Ocean Front View! Just as I expected, we had the most beautiful view of the property and the ocean! I’m not going to lie, it was pretty spectacular to wake up to this view every morning. See below for more pictures!

After we freshened up, we headed straight for lunch at one of the restaurants on the property called Las Casitas. Let me tell you, we had the most delicious lobster tacos, EVER! These tacos were so good we ordered them every day on vacation, haha. Overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean, Las Casitas has gorgeous palm trees lining the exterior of the restaurant, and the ocean breeze made for the perfect setting for our first meal. Malick also really loved the shrimp burrito with verde mole sauce. Definitely a must-try!

Once we finished up our delicious lunch, we spent the rest of the afternoon soaking in the sun and laid out by the large infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The pool was surrounded by day beds, cabanas, and plenty of lounge chairs. The setting was very peaceful, the weather was beautiful, and after a very, very long time, I even got a chance to enjoy reading a book!

Before heading to dinner at La Estancia where we had the BEST tuna and shrimp ceviche, we took a tour of the property and enjoyed some sunset drinks at NOSH which overlooked the beach! Our table was a prime spot to enjoy the gorgeous cotton candy sunset over Puerto Vallarta. Accompanied by live music, Malick and I enjoyed dancing for the most amazing evening!

Every morning we had a buffet breakfast and my go to order was the huevos rancheros and the chai latte at the Deli Los Mangos was unbeatable. The next day we took a private city tour of Puerto Vallarta and wow, this city is so full of culture, music, food, and amazing views! We walked around and enjoyed the scenic beaches, boardwalk, and even went into town where we saw how the locals live. We visited a cathedral, fresh fruit /vegetable stands and took in the authentic Puerto Vallarta experience through the Sierra Madre Mountains! As we drove around we saw so many beautiful murals and even met an artist who was creating these angel wings below, and I had to stop and snap a photo! I’ve made a list of all of the cool photo opps below:

Locals town of El Pitillal

Malecon Boardwalk

Los Arcos del Malecon

Puerto Vallarta Sign

Punta Mita Beach

Sayulita (We didn’t get a chance to stop here for photos, but we drove past it. It has the prettiest spot, with the most vibrant colors!)

Numerous street art and murals

Upon our return from the city tour, we lounged in our room for a bit before freshening up and heading to a 6-course private sensory dinner hosted by the culinary master, chef Kelvin! The menu included octopus and short rib cooked to perfection, and the presentation was just as great as it tasted! You are able to book private dinners and special tastings upon request. So worth it in my opinion!

On the last day, we had a relaxing morning taking some pictures around the scenic property, and at midday, had a couples’ massage on the beach! Malick and I have had couples’ massages before, but nothing compared to the calming sounds of the waves and the fresh ocean breeze accompanying the massage! The massage was so wonderful and exactly what this mama and dada needed!

For our last night we had a delicious sushi dinner at Mikado! If you are a sushi lover, you will not be disappointed. We then enjoyed a night cap at the Ceviche and Tequila Bar located in the main lobby. Every night they have a DJ or live music as entertainment.
